Elephant rides are available at Amber Fort only in the morning, from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with the exception of some local festivals related to the Hindu temple up to the fort & on the day of color festival.
Personally, we do not recommend taking an elephant to get up to the fort. Instead, we suggest you choose one of the following options.
✔ Walk up to the fort (a scenic and rewarding option)
✔ Your private car (not large vehicles)
✔ A Jeep
✔ An electric car ride (available after 12 pm)
We understand that many tourists enjoy the elephant ride, and we respect their decision as well.
Elephant rides at Amber Fort cost ₹2,500 for two people, including all applicable taxes. There is currently no advance booking system; rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets are purchased directly from the mahout before the ride, with payment accepted in cash in Indian rupees only.
