We booked a tour to Amer Fort, including a car, a driver, and a licensed tour guide for the Fort for a very reasonable price. The Amber Fort is very impressive, and our guide was knowledgeable about its history and features.

One of the best tours I've had in my life. Raj does not only know the city and its' history inside out, he also happily answers all questions, however obscure they might be, and adapts the tour according to the interests and needs of his clients. 10/10 would recommend

Raj was our guide for this walking tour and we were not disappointed. He met us and a few others at the appointed time and walked us through the Old city streets. He was a wonderful storyteller and his stories came alive as we walked through the streets. This tour took us through the lanes and hot spots for food. He generously introduced us and treated us to some of the local delicacies and we went back to very same places again on our own.

The walking tour with Raj was the best experience in Jaipur. As a couple without an organized trip, we were a little apprehensive about venturing into the narrow streets of old Jaipur, but with the super local Raj, we immediately felt at ease and learned so much about the city and its traditions. Not taking this tour would have meant leaving Jaipur without appreciating its true soul. Highly recommended!

Planning a One-Day Jaipur Itinerary?
M A K E T H E M O S T O F Y O U R T I M E
Make the most of one day in Jaipur with a private itinerary that combines the city's essential heritage with time for local experiences.
If you have just one day in Jaipur, a well-planned route can take you from the magnificent Amber Fort to the royal City Palace, historic Jantar Mantar and the iconic Hawa Mahal, with a stop at Jal Mahal along the way. With a private car and flexible timings, you can enjoy the highlights without feeling rushed.
A Suggested One—Day Route
1. MORNING
Amber Fort
Start your day with Amber Fort, Jaipur's spectacular hilltop palace complex. Allow enough time to explore its courtyards, palaces and architectural details before continuing towards the city. Suggested time: 1.5—2 hours.
2. LATE MORNING
Jal Mahal
Stop at Jal Mahal on the way back towards Jaipur's historic centre. The palace rising from Man Sagar Lake makes a beautiful short photo stop. Suggested time: 15—20 minutes.
3. MIDDAY
City Palace
Continue to City Palace, where royal courtyards, gateways, museums and palace architecture offer a fascinating introduction to Jaipur's royal heritage. Suggested time: 1—1.5 hours.
4. AFTERNOON
Jantar Mantar
Just beside City Palace, visit Jantar Mantar, the remarkable astronomical observatory built in the 18th century. Suggested time: 30—45 minutes.
5. LATE AFTERNOON
Hawamahal & Local Experiences
Finish the heritage sightseeing around Hawa Mahal and the surrounding Pink City. Depending on your interests and available time, you can continue with a local market, traditional craft experience, food stop or another place of interest.
Please note: Hawa Mahal can be admired from outside at any time of day, but for the best photographs, visit in the early morning on the way to Amber Fort when the façade catches the soft sunlight, or in the evening when it is beautifully illuminated.
Make the Day Your Own
This is only a suggested route. Your private Jaipur tour can be adjusted according to your interests, opening hours, travel plans and preferred pace. Spend more time where you are most interested, skip places you have already visited, or add a local craft, food or shopping experience to your day.
